The 18th Purley Scout Group
Hello and welcome to 18th Purley's entry onto the World Wide Web.
In 2007 we celebrated our 70th Anniversary at the same time as Scouting itself celebrated its Centenary. Over these years we have had lots of fun and if you would like to join us then please send an email to our GSL, Robert, with your child's age and a home contact for us to get in touch.
Scouting is open for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 14 and is open to all faiths and backgrounds.
Our HQ is at Farm Fields, Sanderstead.

18th Purley Scout HQ - Working Party - 10th May 2009
THANK YOU!!
Thank you to the many families (approx 20 across all sections!) who helped at the HQ on Sunday 10th May 2009.
We were delighted with the turnout and so pleased with all the jobs that were achieved.
For those who didn’t make it you will notice the exterior of the whole of the HQ has been repainted and all boundary fencing. Every window was cleaned and the kitchen and every cupboard within it washed out, as was the hall inside and each bathroom. The bird boxes made at recent cub meetings were also attached to the trees.
This is the HQ BEFORE your hard work. Come along to see how great it looks now!
A FANTASTIC effort and I think we all had fun!
We are so fortunate to have the HQ in such good repair and keeping it so encourages external hirers, hence limiting additional fundraising such as jumble sales!! Thank you.
Apologies for any paint splattered clothing, the children certainly got stuck in too but hopefully enjoyed the climbing tower as a reward.
Thank you to the climbing tower team for that - it was great to see it being enjoyed by many and having the opportunity to use the scramble net too.
