The 18th Purley Scout Group
Hello and welcome to 18th Purley's entry onto the World Wide Web.
In 2007 we celebrated our 70th Anniversary at the same time as Scouting itself celebrated its Centenary. Over these years we have had lots of fun and if you would like to join us then please send an email to our GSL, Robin, with your child's age and a home contact for us to get in touch.
Scouting is open for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 14 and is open to all faiths and backgrounds.
Our HQ is at Farm Fields, Sanderstead.

Recent Event: Dragon Boat Racing - Saturday 27th September 2008
This was the first year our Scouts had entered a team in the Annual Youth Dragon Boat Championships at Longridge - Marlow.
We won both of our races and fortunately our time enabled us to be in the final - in which we came 3rd and won bronze medals!

Recent Event: Baloo Trophy - Saturday 20th September 2008
On Saturday 20th September, the Purley District organised an activity day and competition at Bears’ Wood. The main theme of the day is the practice traditional scouting skills such as first aid, knotting, fire-lighting, compass skills and team building activities.
The 18th Purley Cub Pack entered two teams, 12 cubs in each. A great time was had by all, especially cooking marshmallows!!
